Dr. Daniel J. Beer,
D.D.S.
Dr. Beer is a Central Illinois native. He grew
up in the Paxton area along with his five
sisters and one brother. He attended Parkland
College and graduated with an A.A.S. degree in
Electronics. He then attended the University of
Illinois studying Vocational Education and
Electrical Engineering and graduated from U of I
with a degree in Education. From there Dr. Beer
taught high school and adult education in
Muscatine, Iowa. After three years teaching, Dr.
Beer proceeded to Iowa State University and
graduated with honors and an Electrical
Engineering degree along with his pre-dental
course work. Dr. Beer graduated from the
University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1985. Dr. Beer moved to Bloomington-Normal and opened
up his private practice in an office on Fort
Jesse Road. Dr. Beer designed and built his
present office on Hunt Street that he has been
in since January of 1995. After over 600 hours
of intensive continued education, Dr. Beer
earned the distinguished status of Fellow
awarded by the Academy of General Dentistry in
July 2004. Dr. Beer has been very active in
the community serving on several dental boards,
the Mission Board, he has taught classes at
Heartland Community College, coached youth
soccer, and has spoken at many schools and
groups about healthcare. His hobbies include
woodworking, restoring old tractors and cars,
and flying amateur remote controlled airplanes. Dr. Beer is also a pilot and a Ham radio
operator. Dr. Beer has been married to his wife,
Holly, for 29 years and has four children.
Jennifer -
Business Assistant
Jennifer was born and raised in California. She
moved to the Bloomington/Normal area “for the
weather”. Jennifer has worked in dentistry for
over 20 years in both the clinical and the
business area. Jennifer is married and has one
daughter. On weekends Jennifer enjoys the
outdoors with her family, hiking and camping.
Favorite part of the job: “Working with a great
staff and interacting with patients that
appreciate and strive for good oral health and a
great smile."
Kim -
Business Assistant
Kim was born and raised in the Colfax area. Kim
has been in the dental field for 8 years now.
Kim enjoys dirt track racing and you'll find her
traveling track to track on the weekends.
Favorite part of the job: "Helping patients who need
dental treatment. When someone calls with a
dental problem or phobia, I know that we can
make them comfortable enough to get them through
their dental treatment, that's exciting to me."
Jan -
Clinical Assistant
Jan was raised in the Pontiac area and is
married with two grown boys. Jan has worked with
Dr. Beer for over 9 years now. Jan is our Von
Maur shopper. If you need dental work, or a
personalized shopper, Jan can assist you! Jan
also enjoys gardening, exercising and watching
the Cubs play.
Favorite part of the job: "Working with patients. I
love to see the transformation of a patient
after having cosmetic dentistry done. It makes
me feel good when a patient leaves happy because
they have with the smile they have always
wanted."
Pam -
Hygienist
Pam grew up in Southern Illinois. She graduated
from Southern Illinois University in 1991 with
her Dental Hygiene degree. Pam enjoys spending
time with her family; she has both a son and a
daughter that keep her busy with music and dance
lessons. During her free time, Pam is helping
out with school activities and the Girl Scout
troops.
Favorite part of the job: "Meeting and treating
families in our practice. I like to educate our
patients about their dental health needs."
Holly - Jack of all Trades
(Office Manager)
Holly keeps the staff happy by organizing our
time off, scrub coordination and baking us cakes
for our birthdays. She keeps busy during her
free time with her travel agency business,
cooking for the family and their friends, and
loving her family pets, doberman-Xena and cocker
spaniel-Tucker. She is the supremely proud mom
of 1 daughter and 3 sons and has been married to
a wonderful man (whom we all know quite well)
for 29 years.
Favorite part of the job: "Seeing familiar faces
over and over and knowing that they have become
part of our dental family."
Katie
Katie was born and raised here in the
Bloomington/Normal area. After graduating from
U-High in December, 1999, Katie worked full-time
for a semester. She then attended ISU and went
on to hygiene school at Parkland College in
Champaign were she graduated in the top 5 of her
class. Katie was one of the few in the country
to receive a prestigious "perfect score" on her
Dental Hygiene Regional Board Exam! Katie has
been with us working in our hygiene department
since 2006, and she is extremely excited to
bring her experience to our office. Katie is
married to a wonderful man and has one son and
tends to a small zoo in her home.
